Gary Dale Myers Gary passed away from cancer in 2000. The following is his obituary from the Vedette:

Gary Dale Myers was born June 5, 1958 at Springfield Baptist Hospital in Springfield, MO.

He attended Greenfield Public Schools where he graduated in May of 1976.

After graduation he started work at O'Sullivan Industries at Lamar, MO, where at the time of his death he held a supervisory position. He was employed there for over 23 years.

He enjoyed his work tremendously. He loved playing pool with his many friends and was highly respected for his ability as a pool player. His other love was that for taking cruises with his fiancee Debbie Fleenor, who preceded him in death on August 7, 1999.

Gary is survived by his two daughters Jenna Lorrel and Julia Denise of the home, his parents G.D. and Roberta Myers, brother, Rick and son Brad, Chuck and wife Pris, sons Brian and Chris, and daughter Amy, sister Janie Myers, sister Sonie Walker, husband Steve, daughter Heather and son Ryan, sister Cindy and sons Will and Shae, brother Robbie and family, sister Callie and daughter Meghan. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Gary was also preceded in death by all of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Myers of South Greenfield and Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Redman of Greenfield.

Gary will be remembered as a good father, brother and friend to many. He was highly respected and loved by many. He will be missed by all that knew him. He asked the family to personally say a big "Thank You" to the many who helped, supported and gave him comfort during his lengthy illness. The family offers a heartfelt thanks to them also.

His interment was in Daughtery Cemetery in South Greenfield, MO.
